Eraser 5.86 is a handy free program to delete files, documents or your whole harddisk in a safe easy way without leaving any traces behind.

Eraser deletes files forever. Eraser does this by overwriting the files up to 35 times. This is very useful when you are committed to your privacy.

When you delete a file and empty the recycle bin the files aren’t really gone. Windows tells you that the file is gone but only the place where it was is now empty. If that place isn’t, or less, overwritten by other files everybody can restore that file with simple software (for instance Restoration) Even formatting the drive isn’t enough.

Eraser solves this problem and deletes the files permanently without leaving any traces. With Eraser you can overwrite files up to 35 times whereby there not traceable. (only by specialised laboratory)
